We’ve gotten tons of information about the vague feel of J.A. Bayona’s Jurassic World 2 — it’ll deal, metaphorically, with the modern-day treatment of animals — but we haven’t heard much about the actual plot. Today, though, it sounds like Universal is finally getting the ball rolling with news of an open casting call for a child actor. Jurassic World attempted to update the franchise for modern audiences, but at least one tradition has stayed the same: it’s not a Jurassic Park movie without kids running form dinosaurs.

The Jurassic Park fansite Jurassic Outpost has the scoop, along with the description of the young actress Universal is looking for to play “Lucy.”

She is a young girl around 9 years of age. The girl playing “Lucy” must be at least 9 years of age by February 2017, but cannot be over 10 years old.  She must be a sensitive and clever actress capable of handling long and complex scenes.  Lucy must be able to handle a range of emotions from tender moments with her father, to anxiety, bravery, and shock.

This role represents a huge and exciting opportunity for a young actress to play a significant role in a major Hollywood blockbuster.

This is exciting news for any up and coming child actors who want to make it onto the big screen fast. While Jurassic World decided to cast two relatively known young actors for Gray and Zach, it looks like the sequel is ready and willing to try some untested talent. Way back in ’93, Jurassic Park was the big-screen debut of Joseph Mazzello, who played Tim, and while Ariana Richards (Lex) was in Tremors first, Jurassic Park is the movie everyone knows her from. Unless, you’re, like, a huge Tremors fan.

We know that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning for the sequel, but we don’t know yet how big their roles are going to be. “Lucy,” according to the casting call, is someone’s daughter — is she theirs? Or will this movie deal with an entirely new set of characters, with Howard and Pratt appearing as merely cameos?

Jurassic World 2 is scheduled to open in theaters June 22, 2018.
