Fishing for Dollars at This Weekend’s DO-AC Beach N Boat Fishing Challenge

Attention South Jersey fishermen! The DO-AC Beach N Boat Fishing Challenge is this weekend. 

A three-day event that welcomes participants to fish for over $1,000,000(Yes, Over One Million Dollars) in cash and prizes.  It’s FREE and open to everyone, including the kids!

$5,000 first place and $1,000 second place prizes will be awarded for the largest eligible catches in each of the Challenge’s recognized species including:  Striped Bass, Fluke, Weakfish, Black Drum, Bluefish, Kingfish, Tautog and Sea Bass.  It’s so easy… anyone can, and SOMEONE WILL WIN!

In addition to the three days of fishing anytime, the “Beach Bonus Contest,” a surf-fishing-only contest, will take place Friday morning from 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM on the beach by Steele Pier.  Catch the heaviest eligible Fluke, Kingfish or Bluefish and you are in for $5,000.00!  That’s for each!

Catch a New Jersey State record Fluke and you could win $1,000,000.00! Be eligible to win $1,000,000 if you catch the state record fluke during the DO-AC Challenge. *Complete rules must be strictly adhered to and will be posted on the website before the challenge begins.

Fishermen, fisherwomen and fisherkids can fish anywhere in saltwater, in and around Atlantic City from the shore, a boat (including a kayak, canoe, private boat, party or charter boat), the beach, a dock, in the bays or in the ocean.  And, they can fish for an hour, a day or all 54 hours of the Challenge.

Historic Gardner’s Basin is the home of “Base Camp;” mission control and event central.  This is where anglers will check-in, weigh fish and enjoy plenty of excitement “Après-fishing” with music, lighting, sponsors’ products on display, drawings and giveaways.  Lucky (and skilled) anglers can weigh qualifying fish at designated times throughout the entire Challenge.  To top it all off, weigh-ins from the Challenge will count toward the prizes in the annual Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament, as well. You could win both!
