St. Francis Community Center Family Health And Safety Fair

St. Francis Community Center is celebrating 37 years of good health and community support by hosting the Family Health and Safety Fair on Saturday, April 27 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the St. Francis Community Center Gym, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Long Beach Township, NJ 08008. Admission is FREE and a free continental breakfast is available. The Family Health and Safety Fair is a great event to bring the whole family. There will be a Bike Raffle for kids ages 5 to 14. One girl and one boy will each win a bike and a helmet. The child must be present to register.

A Family Fun Walk is scheduled at 9:00 AM and registration with the Long Beach Island Health Department (609-492-1212) by April 18th is required. A Family Swim is also scheduled at the St. Francis Aquatic Center from 12:00 to 1:00 PM so make sure to bring your bathing suit!  Home Depot will be holding a free children’s workshop helping children build their own bird house. Young visitors will be able to meet Meridian’s St. Bernard Dog, “Dr. Bernard” and a Pre-School Vision Screening will be available. All ages are invited.

Medical professionals will be available for free screenings: eyes, blood pressure, osteoporosis, cholesterol, blood sugar, hearing, dental, colon rectal take home test and more. Health and Safety Tips for Post Sandy Safety, Dangers of Mold, Emergency Preparedness, home renovations and rebuilding by Home Depot, Alternative Medicine, Senior Services, Health Care, Financial Information, Family Services and Counseling information will also be available.
