Ellen DeGeneres to Return as Oscars Host

Producers of the Academy Awards have just announced that Ellen DeGeneres will be returning as the host of The Oscars. DeGeneres first hosted the show in 2007, and was nominated for an Emmy Award for her performance.

The producers caused controversy last year after giving the job to Seth MacFarlane, the creator of the “Family Guy”. The reviews were mostly negative because of his crude humor but, the ratings were up for the show especially with the younger audience.

Next year’s Oscar ceremony takes place on March 2 on ABC.
