Tyler Wechsler, the U.S. Marine from Egg Harbor Township who died last week in Hawaii, will receive full military honors at his funeral this Sunday.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, Wechsler's body will be flown to Philadelphia Wednesday, then be driven with a police and military escort to the Godfery Funeral Home in Egg Harbor Township.

Funeral services for Wechsler are scheduled for Sunday at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor, according to his obituary.

Wechsler was part of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 367, Marine Aircraft Group 24 and 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, stationed at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

He was found along the Kaau Crater Trail on April 18, 11 days after he first went missing. His Jeep Liberty was found nearby. His death is not considered suspicious and is still under investigation, the Press said.

Wechsler is survived by his parents, Sandy and Paul, and a brother, Zach. He graduated from Egg Harbor Township High in 2013.

a GoFundMe.com page established to cover expenses for Wechsler's family has raised more than $13,000. Family members had traveled to Hawaii to aid in the search.
