Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.

This week we met “Dylan" the cat. Dylan is a 5-year-old spayed female brown and black tiger cat. Her front paws have been declawed.

Here is some information on Dylan from the Humane Society of Ocean City: “Dylan is a very sweet girl, She came to the HSOC after her owner passed away. She loves to be carried around and be loved. She is very vocal and will meow back and forth when you talk to her. Dylan would do well as an only cat with lots of attention, but could do fine in a house with other cats.

Her previous owner had some dog friends who visited so she would be OK with a cat- friendly dog. Dylan would be OK with children but is a little laid back and may not be active enough for some households."
