Dionne Warwick, who served as host of Houston’s “home going” funeral at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, says “You know, in all honesty, I think she had a heart attack, that’s what I think happened to her.”

When asked if drug abuse might have played a role Warwick responded,  “I don’t know if it’s that or not. I think her heart just gave out.”

An official toxicology report is expected on March 23 reports CNN.

Warwick also describes the feelings she had on the flight back to New Jersey with Houston’s body. “It was a combination of things, stories, laughter, tears. All the emotions that you feel when somebody very near to you passes.”
