James Franco Accused of Sexual Misconduct Following Golden Globes Win
When James Franco picked up a Golden Globe award last night for his portrayal of Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist, his seeming refusal to let Wiseau himself speak wasn’t the only thing that drew criticism on social media. Franco, who wore a “Time’s Up” pin to support the protest against sexual harassment and assault, was swiftly called out for his hypocrisy on Twitter by multiple women — including actress Ally Sheedy, who previously starred opposite Franco in a 2014 off-Broadway production.

Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson Top List of Highest-Grossing Actors in 2017
It looks like Vin Diesel has bested Dwayne Johnson in at least one arena, clocking in at number one on Forbes’ list of the highest-grossing actors of 2017 — and throwing a little more fuel on that Fast & Furious feud (say that five times fast). Thanks to The Fate of the Furious and xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Diesel edged out his Fast co-star / arch-nemesis, and with fewer 2017 releases under his belt.
Netflix’s ‘Bright’-Themed Holiday Fireplace Is Actual Trash
You’d think that spending $90 million on something like Bright (with $3.5 million of that going to Max Friggin’ Landis) would be embarrassing enough for Netflix, especially after all the third-degree burns they suffered from last night’s onslaught of negative reviews. But apparently the fine folks at Netflix are masochists: Not only have they already ordered a sequel to David Ayer’s buddy-cop-orc movie, but they’ve taken their self-own to the next level with a Bright-inspired holiday “fireplace.”
How ‘Rogue One’ Set Up ‘The Last Jedi’ With a ‘Star Wars’ Easter Egg
It didn’t take long for Star Wars theories and Easter eggs to flood the internet after The Last Jedi hit theaters (we put together our own handy video here). But to find one of the most interesting connections to Rian Johnson’s game-changing sequel, you’ll have to revisit last year’s Rogue One, which centered on a hastily-assembled team’s efforts to steal the Death Star plans from the Empire. As it turns out, that film features an Easter egg that sets up a crucial plot point in The Last Jedi.
Salma Hayek Reveals Heartbreaking History With ‘Monster’ Harvey Weinstein
Salma Hayek pens a powerful, painful essay about the alleged abuses she suffered at the hands of the disgraced former Hollywood executive.
Christian Bale’s Body Has Achieved Its Final Form as Dick Cheney
Some actors are chameleons who disappear into their roles — like Gary Oldman and his prosthetics, or Daniel Day-Lewis and his prestigious method Acting. But only one actor has a body that’s capable of transforming into myriad shapes and sizes, shrinking and expanding itself, seemingly at will, to inhabit any number of roles. That actor is Christian Bale, and for his latest experiment in testing the boundaries of good health, he’s morphed his oft-chiseled physique into a squishy human-shaped cushion to portray former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Sylvester Stallone Accused of Sexually Assaulting Teen Girl in 1980s
Allegations of sexual misconduct and assault continue to mount against Hollywood men and politicians in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal. Following this morning’s allegations against Senator Al Franken, another prominent and beloved figure has been accused of sexual assault: Sylvester Stallone. According to a recently unearthed police report, the iconic action star and his bodyguard allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl in the 1980s.
Deadpool Is the Guest Editor of Good Housekeeping’s Holiday Issue (No, Really)
Deadpool is such a pop culture sensation that even Good Housekeeping — yes, as in the magazines your grandmother often has stacked on her doily-covered end table — is getting in on the action. The Merc With a Mouth is the special guest editor for the magazine’s upcoming holiday issue, which is, uh, stuffed with all kinds of delicious Deadpool-ized recipes and tips.
Disney Ends Ban on LA Times Following Backlash and Boycott
That was extremely fast. Disney has officially ended a ban placed on the Los Angeles Times following the paper’s three-part story investigating the corporation’s business dealings in Anaheim (home to Disneyland parks). The company announced the decision this afternoon after the New York Times joined the LA Times in their boycott of Disney films, and several prominent critics groups voted to disqualify the studio’s movies from awards eligibility until they publicly revoked the ban.
Lucasfilm Is Planning the Next 10 Years of ‘Star Wars’ Movies
With the current Star Wars trilogy set to conclude in 2019, some fans have already begun wondering what’s next for the prolific franchise. Lucasfilm has a few spinoffs in the works, including an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie (possibly with Ewan McGregor) and the upcoming Solo (which recently wrapped production), but the future of the core series hasn’t exactly been at the forefront of public discussion — until now.
Dustin Hoffman Accused of Sexual Harassing Former Production Assistant in 1985
Brett Ratner isn’t the only Hollywood heavyweight whose history of alleged sexual misconduct was exposed today. Around the same time that The LA Times published their extensive report on Ratner, The Hollywood Reporter ran a guest column from Anna Graham Hunter, an author and former production assistant who alleges that Dustin Hoffman sexually harassed and forcibly groped her on the set of a 1985 TV film.
