Good luck to the cast of "Anything Goes", the classic musical being presented this weekend by the summer theater program of the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District.

These local kids are extremely talented and have worked hard to put together a solid production of this theater chestnut, featuring the unbeatable score of Cole Porter classics.

Summer Musical Theatre Program to Present Musical Classic Anything Goes

 

 

The New Millennium Production Company, the summer theater program of the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District will be presenting the classic musical ANYTHING GOES on Friday, August 9th, Saturday, August 10th and Sunday, August 11th at 7:00 PM in the Oakcrest High School Auditorium.  The summer theatre program is comprised of theatre students from Absegami, Cedar Creek and Oakcrest High Schools.

 

ANYTHING GOES  is the age old tale of Boy Meets Girl and the complications which ensue on the S. S. America as it crosses the Atlantic Ocean from New York to London.  On board the boat is socialite Hope Harcourt who is engaged to a royal Englishman named Evelyn Oakleigh.  However, Hope’s past has stowed away on board in the guise of Billy Crocker, who is hopelessly in love with her.  Also on board is the famous evangelist-turned-nightclub singer Reno Sweeney, who is looking for love herself.  And what ocean cruise would be complete without a known criminal, Moonface Martin and his moll Bonnie.  The book is by Guy Bolton, P. G. Wodehouse, Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse.  The score is by Cole Porter and features Broadway classics like “It’s De-Lovely”, “Friendship”, “I Get A Kick Out of You”, “All Through the Night”, “You’re the Top”, “Blow, Gabrielle, Blow”, “Let’s Misbehave” and the title song “Anything Goes”.

 

Since 1999, the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District has offered this rich, rewarding extracurricular program which has allowed the students of the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District to work together.  Past productions have included:  Godspell, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Pippin, Bye Bye Birdie, Footloose, Crazy For You, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, Guys & Dolls, Hairspray,  A Chorus Line and Curtains.

 

Cast members include Molly Huber, Gabrielle Hughes, Nicholas Hathaway, Julia Ferris, Michael Moore, Krystina Matos, Aaron Sartorio, Thomas Smith, Colleen Garrison, Ashley Fox, Jenny Husta, Caitlyn Kraemer, Madison Restle, Abby Cohen, Craig Diliplane, Isabelle Brown, Saverio Turrano, Chance Harding, Sophia Turrano, Rachel Ann Parsons, Margaret Erickson, Rachel Cohen, Maggie Cohen, Matt Brennan, Brandon Castillo, C. J. Coyle, Miranda Muniz, Vanessa Matos, Kerwin Gonzalez, Natalie Frantz, Sarah Heintz, Gabrielle Cruz, Gabrielle Brandenberger, Kyri Saint Germain, Gabrielle Collet, Stephanie Rodriguez,   The production is under the direction of district drama teachers Chip Garrison, Kim Tunney and Matt Ballistreri with assistance from Oakcrest teacher Ed Clark. The music is under the direction of Galloway Township Middle School drama and music teacher Brian Conover.   The assistant director for the production is Jordan Porch.
