You can also Join me Sunday, Ocotber 13thfrom noon to 2pm at the Irish Fest in Smithville to buy any remaining tickets before the winner is chosen.  Stop out and see me and one of the winning cars on display and watch the drawing live at 2pm.

When you buy a ticket, you'll be helping a wonderful local organization that has been helping provide caring adult mentors for children facing adversity here in South Jersey for almost 50 years.

The past few years have been hard on Big Brothers and BigSisters of Atlantic and Cape May Counties.  The local BBBS group has lost about $125,000 in government grants because of budget cuts. The group now relies much more heavily on donations and fundraising.

The staff has been cut from 11 to 3.5 and currently about 200 children are mentored. The group also runs several school-based programs, but currently is taking no new children because they don't have the staff to supervise.

My involvement with Big Brothers and Big Sisters goes back to 1999 when I was lucky enough to become a "Big" to an intelligent and creative nine-year-old Little Brother named Dylan.  Today, Dylan is a  successful 21-year-old pursuing a music career! He makes me very proud!

Please help Big Brothers and Big Sisters raise the money they need to continue their good work! I hope to see you Sunday and good luck with the drawing!
