Is your dog or cat constantly scratching and itch? When we have allergies, we often feel it in our respiratory tract, but allergies  in our pets usually involve skin irritation or inflammation – a condition called allergic dermatitis.

The skin of your dog or cat will become very itchy and he will start scratching and even chewing at certain parts of his body.  It is very uncomfortable for them, but there are ways to treat it.  Dr. Mark Newkirk of Newkirk Family Veterinarians in Egg Harbor Township, is joined by his furry friend, Bandit.  He talks with me about treatment options to  help relieve allergies in our pets.
