Donut lovers rejoice! National Donut Day is Friday, June 1st. A few donut chains in South Jersey announced their freebie offers for the unofficial holiday. What better way to kickoff Summer 2018 than with a FREE tasty treat?

Dunkin' Donuts is offering a free classic donut with the purchase of any beverage. Customers can choose from Glazed, Glazed Chocolate, Boston Kreme, and Strawberry Frosted with Sprinkles.

Krispy Kreme giving each customer a free donut of any choice, with no purchase necessary! The closest one to South Jersey is in Collingswood.

Duck Donuts in Avalon is offering a free classic donut with no purchase necessary. Free options include bare, cinnamon sugar, and powdered. As an added bonus, each customer will also receive a buy one, get one free donut coupon that is redeemable anytime before Sunday, June 17th.

National Donut Day was started in 1938 by The Salvation Army as a way to honor women volunteers who served donuts to soldiers during World War I to lift their spirits. Today donut fans across the country still celebrate the unofficial holiday on the first Friday of June.
