Our series blogs about commercial development in our area continues, this time taking us to Egg Harbor Township.

Within the past few days, the lot next to Chickie's and Pete's at the English Creek Shopping Center in EHT has been cleared and it looks like development is not far behind.

So, what's going there?

According to the minutes posted by the Egg Harbor Township Planning Board from February, Mavis Tire has received approval to build a 6,700-square-foot store next to the popular crab house at 6051 Black Horse Pike. The store will be for, "automobile car and repair. Facility will contain a showroom, waiting area, work area, tire and storage area, and eight (8) bays. Other improvements include stormwater management, 28 parking spaces and signage."

While tires are in the future for that side of Chickie's and Pete's, the township has already given the go-ahead for Dunkin' Donuts (with a drive thru) to move into the empty Fox Chase Bank building right at the corner of English Creek and the Black Horse Pike. Redevelopment of that lot has not yet started.
