Welcome Home Miss America

Last night was the first of three nights of preliminary Miss America competition at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Miss New Jersey Cara McCollum  got a huge ovation when she said "Welcome Home Miss America".

All 53 contestants made their way down the runway for the first night of competition.. The early winners included:

Miss Mississippi, Chelsea Rick for fitness and evening gown.

Miss New Hampshire Samantha Russ for talent competition. She sang "Don’t Rain on My Parade.”

Miss Kansas Theresa Vail,  revealed two huge tattoos  during the  swimsuit competition This was the first time ever that a Miss America contestant revealed tattoos during the competition.

Another round of Miss America Preliminary competition is set to go tonight at Boardwalk Hall.
