Alex Trebek became emotional after a "Jeopardy!" contestant honored the host with a heartfelt message on the final round of yesterday’s show.

The contestant wrote, “We love you, Alex,” after being stumped on the answer.

Alex read the answer, choked up and thanked the contestant for his kind gesture. He paused a moment to collect himself before moving on with the show.

Alex was diagnosed earlier this year with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and has no plans to retire. He is currently undergoing a second round of chemo and he has yet to miss a show.
