The retail game is getting COMPETITIVE this holiday season.

Let's be real: the shopping world has become all about who can offer the best deals, discounts and perks.

Well Walmart has just announced their newest membership perk that is clearly being done to compete with Amazon.

If you are a Walmart+ member, you will qualify for free shipping for purchases that are $35 and over! This means that shipping for next-day and two-day shipping will be FREE!

Sound familiar? It is basically the same idea as Amazon Prime! (But amazon offers free shipping for members regardless of the price)

“Customers have been clear — they want this benefit,” Janey Whiteside, chief customer officer at Walmart, said in a statement. “Being able to toss an item into your cart, regardless the total, and checkout right away lets them knock little things off their to-do list in no time.”

I mean....YEA we want this benefit. Shipping costs can be quite expensive depending on what you are shipping where and during what time of year.

Just as a reminder, Walmart's membership service, "launched back in September and also includes savings on gas and access to the 'Scan & Go' feature in the Walmart app."

Walmart's annual membership costs just $12.95 per month which calculates to about $98 per year. Not bad....but do you think they are offering enough to realistically compete with Amazon?

So this story brings me to the ultimate question: Amazon or Walmart?
