An extremely scary situation unfolded in Gloucester County over the weekend as a waitress was abducted and assaulted after confronting a group of people who were trying to leave without paying their tab.

According to 6 ABC, the disturbing attack took place at Nifty Fifty's located in Turnersville. The twenty-year-old waitress ran after a group of people who were trying to skip out of their $70 bill late Saturday night.

Washington Township Police Chief Patrick Gurcsik tells 6 ABC,

"They pulled her into the vehicle and assaulted her inside the vehicle."

The waitress was able to escape the vehicle run back to the restaurant to notify the police. The vehicle has been identified as a newer model white Dodge Durango, The victim was able to run back to the restaurant to notify the police.

The waitress did suffer bruises and a possible concussion during the attack. She was taken to the hospital and was released.
