A recent act of vandalism has the South Jersey Field of Dreams offering a reward for any information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of those parties involved.

The vandalism reportedly happened during the weekend of Nov. 17, where it is believed a truck or a SUV drove over the brand new field surface in Absecon, causing extensive damage to the baseball field.

This incident now has the Field of Dreams Board of Directors considering a video surveillance system at the Jonathon Pitney Recreational Park.

Board president Barry Hackett has said that it is "disconcerting that funding that should be going to benefit our special players, now will have to be diverted to the protection of our field from vandals".

Hackett requests that if you should have any information regarding the vandalism to please reach out to him at (609) 641-1706, or by e-mail to info@sjfieldofdreams.com.
