Two People Found Dead in Villas Home

The Cape May County Prosecutor and Lower Township Police are investigating the deaths of two people found Monday morning in a home on Cardinal Avenue in the Villas.

According to a facebook message from the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office, the Lower Township Police made a wellness check at the home Monday and found two people dead inside.

Detectives from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the Lower Township Police Department immediately responded and are still currently conducting an investigation.

Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland said Monday that the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released once it is developed.

Prosecutor Sutherland also said there is no threat to the public at this time, but Cardinal Avenue may be closed until the investigation is completed.

The exact address and the identities of the people found inside have not been released.
