Get ready for the Harvest Moon which will start to rise starting this Thursday afternoon according to NASA. A  Harvest Moon is the closet full moon to start the fall season. The moon will also appear full for three days. Harvest farmers used the light of the moon to work in their fields at night.

We're also in for a treat this Halloween as a rare Blue Moon will rise over the skies in South Jersey according to NJ.com. The last time we were treated to a Blue Moon on Halloween was back in 2001.

A full moon on October 31st will definitely be the perfect backdrop for trick-or-treating or your Halloween party.
