Trump Taj Mahal Closes Hotel Tower

The Trump Taj Mahal has shut down one of its hotel towers. State regulators have also released a tentative plan to close the Taj on December 12th.The Chairman's tower, which is the newest hotel, was shut down on Monday. Negotiations are still ongoing to keep the doors of the casino open. There are already signs posted inside the casino telling customers that the Taj is scheduled to close at 5:59 a.m. Dec. 12th.

According to the Press of Atalntic City, 'About 2,700 workers are waiting to find out if Local 54 of UNITE-HERE will accept a proposal by Icahn to keep the property from becoming the fifth casino-hotel to close this year in Atlantic City'.
