The judges of “The Voice” came together to remember the victims of the Connecticut school massacre by singing a beautiful and touching  rendition of “Hallelujah” during the opening of the talent show on Monday night.

Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine led this season’s finalists in a moving version of this classicsong at the beginning of the latest episode.

They performed the song in a darkened studio surrounded just by candles, with each member of the group holding a placard with the name and age of each of the 26 people who lost their lives at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown on Friday.
