An anonymous text message to the Atlantic City Police Department's tip411 system resulted in the arrest of three adults and two juveniles and the recovery of a handgun and drugs.

Cops say Thursday morning, they received anonymous texts about guns inside a room at the Madison Hotel on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard.

According to a press release, during an investigation, detectives attempted to stop 22-year-old Abdul Bobo-Moore of Atlantic City as he left the building. Bobo-Moore fled but was quickly apprehended. He was found in possession of heroin.

The ACPD says,

Detectives made their way to an apartment inside the building where they encountered four individuals inside the room. Omar Law, Azyiah Henry, and a 17 year old female were placed in custody after they were found in possession of narcotics. A 16 year old male was placed in custody after being found in possession of a loaded handgun magazine.

A total of 110 individual bags of heroin and 25 grams of marijuana was recovered.

Abdul Bobo-Moore and 18-year-old Azyiah Henry of Mays Landing were both charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and possession of CDS with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone. 18-year-old Omar Law of Atlantic City was charged with possession of CDS. Those three were all released on a summons with a future court date.

A 17-year-old female from Mays Landing was charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia. A 16-year-old male from Mays Landing was charged with unlawful possession of handgun ammunition. The two teens were each released to a parent with a future court date.
