Every Thursday morning at 7:15 am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.

This week we met “Tinkerbell” the cat. Tinkerbell is a 9-year-old grey and white short-haired cat.

Here’s some information on Tinkerbell from the Humane Society of Ocean City…

Hey…You there…I am Tinkerbell. I am an older kitty (~9-10 yrs) looking for a patient person to…well to be my person. I am an affectionate and loyal lady, and can be quite friendly once I get to know you.

I can get a bit anxious in new environments or when big changes happen, I need a little time to process everything, and I tend to get vocal when stressed, so I need a patient and understanding person to help me transitioning into a new home…but such a reward of affection and love to the right person!

I am not over-fond of other animals and need to be your only pet, the object of your affection and you of mine! Younger children are too active for me (12 & up visit depending) and really need a quiet, mellow environment to reside in. If I sound like your kind of kitty and you sound like my kind of person, come see me at the HSOC!!
