Thunder Over the Boardwalk Airshow Moves to New Month & Day

After a one year experiment holding the Atlantic City Airshow on a Friday, organizers have decided to return to a mid-week airshow.  A somewhat bigger surprise was... the decision to move the show from August to late June.

Sources with the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce confirmed today that this year's airshow will be held on Wednesday, June 26th.  Last year's Atlantic City Airshow, the 10th annual, was held Friday, August 17th.  Airshow crowds have topped 800,000 people in recent years. Some local business owners questioned holding such a crowd-pleasing event on an already busy August weekend.

While I understand that logic, personally,  I loved having the airshow on a Friday.  It was a fantastic start to a three-day weekend!  Maybe we'll have to make that a really long weekend this year?
