Here's some awesome news for plane enthusiasts. The excitement is building for the return of the 18th annual Atlantic City Airshow which is set took to take off on Wednesday, August 18th.

The 2020 edition of the AC Airshow was canceled due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic.

The theme for this year's show will be "A Salute to Those Who Serve" according to the official website Airshow.acchamber.com. This year's Thunder Over The Boardwalk will also feature the return of U.S. Airforce Thunderbirds who will serve again as the headline act.

The Thunderbirds will also unveil a brand new demonstration during their performance for the first time in close to 40 years. The new demonstration, which will take place as high as 15,000 feet over the boardwalk, will put emotion and entertainment in the spotlight.

Also scheduled for this year's show is the F22 Raptor Demonstration Team, The United States Parachute Team featuring The Golden Nights, and the Geico Skytypers Airshow Team. The Skytypers will fly six WWII-era aircraft while typing giant 1,000-foot tall messages that can be seen for 15 miles in any direction messages in the sky.

The 2021 version of the AC Airshow will also welcome, spotlight, and salute the hard work of our dedicated healthcare professionals from all over the state who went above and beyond during the pandemic.
