This South Jersey Shore Town Will Check on Your Empty House

I'll be honest, sometimes I have major anxiety when I leave my house. I always do a safety check which includes making sure all appliances are turned off, all plugs are unplugged and all doors and windows are locked up nice and tight. My anxiety goes up a full notch whenever my wife and I go away for vacation.

You can sign up for the residential property check program from the North Wildwood Police Department which takes place from Memorial Day through Labor Day, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Police will check on your property or your summer home while you're away for an extended period of time for free. What an awesome idea especially for anxious homeowners like me!
