The band playing on the sound stage at CBP was Smith & Myers, featuring Brent Smith and Zach Myers of Shinedown.

Concertgoers vehicles were parked with one to two spaces in between. Those who attended basically had to stay close to their vehicles and pretty much hang with whoever accompanied them. The music could be heard over Bluetooth speakers the audience brought along. The stage was set up with its back facing Broad Street.

LiveNation Live-In Drive-In Concert featuring Smith & Myers

It looks like tailgating was acceptable. My husband said there were port-a-pots and opportunities to order food and have it delivered to your car, and security guards riding around in golf carts ready to keep the peace, if necessary.

Oh, and the thing about there being no spectators allowed inside CBP to watch the Phillies, the concert and baseball game overlapped last night, which was pretty cool. The Phillies ended up beating the Washington Nationals in extra innings, so it was ALMOST like being there.

LiveNation's Live-In Drive-In series is hosting a few more outdoor events like this one this weekend at Citizens Bank ParkFriday night will feature the band Lotus. Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6 is for all the Grateful Dead fans out there with Dark Star Orchestra.
