The Rockefeller Christmas Tree Will Light Up Tonight

Christmas is coming as the world famous Rockefeller tree will light up the night in New York City to start the holiday season.

The official tree is a 90 year old, 85-foot Norway Spruce from Hemlock Township, PA. The tree wieighs about 13 tons and will feature 45,000 LED lights.

The stars will be out in full force tonight to light the tree. Scheduled to perform are Mariah Carey, Prince Royce, Darius Rucker, Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett, Cyndi Lauper featuring Billy Porter, Seth MacFarlane featuring Sara Bareilles, Idina Menzel, Pentatonix, LeAnn Rimes, Trisha Yearwood and of course the Rockettes.

The 82nd annual ‘Christmas in Rockefeller Center’ will take place on NBC TV starting at 8 PM.
