The Ingredient That’s Making ‘Mexican Coke’ the Latest Trendy Soft Drink

When I was a teenager,  I remember some of the other kids asking me if I had any Mexican, but I don't think they were asking for Coca-Cola. People are asking for it these days.  Mexican Coke is an imported hit, albeit a fairly expensive one.

.A version of Coca-Cola which is made with real cane sugar rather than high-fructose corn syrup is growing in popularity.

The US uses the cheaper sweetener in its sodas because of government-imposed laws that make sugar more expensive here than in any other country.

People say the Mexican Coke, bottled in Mexico, is a purer soda and superior in both taste and quality.

But the Mexican Coke is more expensive and goes for up to $3.50 a bottle.
