The Animals At The Cape May Zoo Can’t Wait to See You!
The Cape May Zoo opens for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic tomorrow, so the Cat Country Morning Show got to talk to some of the staff about how the animals are doing and the zoo's "new normal".
Signs are now placed throughout the park, directing the flow of traffic to allow for the maximum amount of social distancing. Look forward to some new additions, too! The zoo has welcomed baby goats to their family since the last time they were open. Also, the siamang primates are excited to see you! According to the primate zookeeper Kim Simpkins, the siamangs have been eager for some human interaction. Primates thrive and are enriched by interacting with humans, so make sure you stop by the exhibit to say hi.
Here's what you have to look forward to from the Cape May Zoo's siamang pair:
If you do plan on visiting the zoo, masks are encouraged.
