Photos of an Ocean City Police officer taking the time to help an elderly woman cross an Ocean City street have hit a soft spot with everyone who has seen them.

The photos in a Facebook post Monday by Lisa White-Pagano show Ocean City police officer helping a woman using a walker across the street, and, as the post says,

not only did he help cross her safely he made conversation with her as they walked. He deserves to get his photo shared.

That officer has now been identified by the Ocean City Police Department as "Officer James Crowley...OCPD’s real life Norman Rockwell painting."

The Facebook post has been shared hundreds of times, and the story has been picked up the Ocean City Patch and Fox 29 TV in Philadelphia.

Well done, Officer Crowley!
