The William Davies Middle School Graduation on Tuesday afternoon was marred by a stabbing incident following the ceremony which resulted in one man being hospitalized and another being arrested.

The stabbing took place just after the graduation, held on the Oakcrest High School football field, at 4pmTuesday.

According to Hamilton Township Police, a 19-year-old man was stabbed in the arm during an altercation between the two men at about 5:18pm.

The man was transported to Shore Medical Center in Somers Point by the Hamilton Township Rescue Squad.

Police arrested Garry Williams, 33, of Mays Landing, charging him with second and third degree assault with a weapon charges.

Williams was jailed on $50,000 cash bail pending court proceedings.
