This Saturday volunteers with gather at beaches across the Garden State to help keep our beaches clean. Volunteers will be ready at over 70 locations with gloves and trash bags picking up litter on our beaches.Once again, the 28th annual Beach Sweeps event will be sponsored by Clean Ocean Action. Volunteers are needed.

Some of the most popular items picked up from the last beach sweeps include:  cigarette filters,  caps and lids, plastic food, candy wrappers and bags; foam pieces, beverages, glass pieces, paper pieces and forks, knives and spoons...

Volunteers are needed at the following beaches starting at 9 AM:

  • Longport - 33rd & Atlantic Avenue Beach
  • Margate - Granville Avenue Beach

CAPE MAY COUNTY LOCATIONS
