New Jersey State Police have arrested 28-year-old Ramon Torres, IV, of Millville for allegedly defrauding customers at an auto body shop in Washington Township, Gloucester County.

Authorities say last November, detectives from the Motor Vehicle Crimes South Unit were contacted by the Pennsylvania State Police regarding allegations of unlawful business practices and theft by Torres who owns ASAP Autoworx on Greentree Road in Turnersville. Following an investigation, detectives discovered that Torres was charging victims for uncompleted repairs and charging for work on vehicles that were still under warranty.

Last Tuesday, detectives arrested Torres IV and charged him with seven counts of theft by deception. He was released pending a court date.
