Somers Point launches a 'December to Remember" this weekend with a holiday parade, tree lighting and Santa's arrival on a fire truck.

Here's a look at a very festive weekend in Somers Point!

Friday, Dec. 6  at 6:30p, the Somers Christmas Parade will lead Santa Claus down Shore Road from Dawes Ave. to New Jersey Ave. and up to City Hall with festive floats, live music and groups from the community and schools.
Following the parade, Mayor Jack Glasser and Santa Claus will light the tree at City Hall.  Santa Claus will then go inside to meet with children for pictures while his elves give out special treats.

The festivities continue Saturday in Somers Point..

Holiday Activity for the Kids - The Community Education Recreation Office will be hosting a free children’s tree trimming afternoon from 12:00-2:00pm at the Senior Citizens’ Center, 22 North Ambler Road.

The decorations they create will be hung on the Somers Mansion tree.

Somers Mansion Tree Lighting & Victorian “Village Carolers” - 5:00PM – on the grounds of the Somers Mansion, 1000 Shore Rd, Somers Point. Refreshments served.

Holiday Porch Performance - “The Christmas Carol” – 6:00PM - Gather at 37 Somers Ave. in Somers Point at 6pm to enjoy Act One of a quirky and humorous rendition of Charles Dickens’ “The Christmas Carol” performed by The Riddlesbrood Players.
