By this point, we all have grown accustomed to paying our way onto any of the beaches here in South Jersey.

And if you take a look at the Beach Tag Guide for South Jersey for the Summer of 2019, some of the daily prices could add up to a nice chunk of change rather quickly by the end of the Summer.

So this new idea dawned on me: What if South Jersey residents received a discount on beach entry?

The idea makes sense. We live here. We work here. We help to maintain the area. And the biggest, we pay taxes here.

A majority of the people who visit our beaches during the Summer are visitors anyway so it is not like the profit would be thrown off by THAT much. Right? Or am I wrong?

I can personally say that any type of discount, even if it was just 10%, would be great and would show appreciation or the South Jersey residents.

So, what do you think?
