Six Flags Great Adventure has announced some very good news.

They will be opening their Safari adventure as a self drive-through experience for the Summer 2020.

It is no surprise that this announcement came today because Governor Phil Murphy just announced that drive-through activities and events are permitted as long as they adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Since 2013, Six Flags Great Adventure has adapted their Safari experience for guided truck tours throughout the safari.

However, Six Flags is switching back to their old ways of having customers drive themselves throughout the experience that will show you over 1,2000 exotic animals from the comfort of their own vehicles.

The details of the safety rules and precautions that will be put in place are still being worked out.

But one thing we do know is that you will not be able to experience the Safari without purchasing your tickets online and registering in advance at SixFlags.com/Reserve. Just be aware that they are not accepting reservations just yet.

This reservation rule is being put into place to avoid overcrowding and if you do not purchase your ticket in advance, you will not be allowed to enter.

Six Flags Great Adventure's theme park and water park must remain closed until further notice. Let's hope that is only a "for now" situation but who knows at this point.
