Every Thursday morning at 7:10 am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City introduces the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation's top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Sassy the cat...

Here's some information on Sassy from the Humane Society of Ocean City...

"Hi, my name is Sassy, I am a three-and-a-half-year-old domestic shorthair tortie cat. People tell me I have the classic tortie attitude (and of course, I take that as a major compliment}.

I can do the best dog impersonations. by begging for food, nosing you when you are not giving me attention, and wagging my tail a mile a minute when I am happy, I can also do a great human trick by standing on my hind legs while looking out of the window.

I would do great in a cozy home with some loving and caring humans to hang with BUT please, no other pets.

Please contact one of our adoption counselors for more information. All cats are up to date with vaccines and have been spayed or neutered. The HSOC also provides each pet adopted by us with a 10% lifetime discount to our veterinary center."
