Her name is Russelle Patterson and she has been lending a helping hand to various Atlantic City organizations for over 40 years including Wildlife Aid Foundation, Humane Society of Atlantic County, the American Red Cross, the March of Dimes and many more.

Well now...it is time to return the favor....

The 79-year-old Egg Harbor Township resident has been, "struggling with Graves disease, which leads to an overactive thyroid, emphysema, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, also known as COPD," so now a fundraiser is being set up in her honor to help cover her medical expenses.

Head to the Wonder Bar located at 3701 Sunset Avenue in Atlantic City this Saturday (3/16/19) from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM to give Russelle a well-deserved helping hand.

But even through it all, Russelle's first thought is extremely selfless.

"The thing that bothers me the most is that I'm not out there rescuing animals and people," Patterson said.

Keep your head up Russelle; we got your back.
