Run to Honor Fallen NJ Service Members Starts In South Jersey

A 188 mile run which will take place all over the state gets underway Thursday morning at the Cape May Lighthouse starting at 8 AM.According to the Press of Atlantic City, military personnel from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and other bases across America will lace up their running shoes to honor New Jersey service members that gave their lives to protect others.

The run will take place over a span of five days and the course will take runners through parts of Cape May Point, Lower Township, the City of Cape May, West Cape May, Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Sea Isle City. The race will wrap up in Ocean City and eventually end on September 27th.

Every mile of the course will honor a New Jersey hero and their family.
