When planning a day trip to an amusement park, you never sit back and ask yourself "Gee, I wonder if any of the rides will malfunction today."

Truth be told, amusement parks are a popular pastime for New Jersey residents. It's not common for something to go wrong too often, so when news breaks of an incident at one of the state's most beloved family destinations, it's a little tough to swallow. Our very sincere "Get Well Soon' wishes are extended this morning to the two people that were injured in an accident at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ over the weekend.

Reportedly, the park's log flume ride in the Frontier Land section malfunctioned and left two injured, both needing medical attention. According to Inquirer.com, a spokesperson for Great Adventure said one of the cars on the Saw Mill Log Flume "tipped up at an angle". The two riders who were injured were reportedly complaining about pain in their limbs - one in the arm, one in the leg. Not too much more has been revealed regarding the riders' identities, only that they were sent to the hospital after the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m on Sunday night.

Not exactly how you'd envision wrapping up your weekend, huh?

It's unlikely we'll ever discover the identities of the injured, but the important thing is that they're being treated and will be okay. Obviously, the ride was closed down for the night after the accident took place. It will go through inspection to ensure it is safe for riders to enjoy once again in the coming days.
