It was an unofficial "Welcome to Atlantic County" for visitors and and unofficial "Welcome Home" to local residents.

It was the "Milk Jug Lady's" front yard on Route 40, just outside of Mays Landing.

For years, the late Josephine Stapleton would decorate her front yard with an array of milk jugs - mostly in the form of the US flag.

There were other designs and nods to holidays, but the red, white, and blue flag depiction was the most notable design.
