Ah, the 90s.

Since I'm a 90s baby, I refer to that decade as my "glory days" even though they absolutely were NOT, haha! The 90s were such a great period of time to grow up in, though. My memories of the shore from childhood really haven't been topped. I think when you get to experience all that the beaches of South Jersey have to offer every single summer as a kid, there's really no comparison to any other family vacation you take while growing up.

Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE the beach. Quite frankly, every South Jersey beach has a special place in my heart for a different reason. But, for the amusements, my parents took me to Wildwood. So, for me, that's where most of my shore memories shine through clear as day in my mind.

So many amusements come and go over the years. I remember every summer hoping to be tall enough to ride the Great White roller coaster. I remember desperately asking my mother to let me ride in the tank ride while my cousins tried to fire the tennis balls at us. I also remember the horseback riding. While you can still ride your own horses on the beach during the off-season, horseback riding as a ride hasn't been available on the boardwalk for at least fifteen years now. It doesn't hurt to look back down memory lane every once in a while, right?
