At times like these, we could all use a little prayer.

That's what Father Anthony Manuppella, pastor of Northfield's St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish had in mind when he took flight in a small plane over South Jersey Wednesday with a blessing for protection against coronavirus.

Father Manuppella, along with a parishioner who happens to be a pilot, took off in a Cessna 182 Wednesday afternoon from Atlantic City International Airport, carrying the Blessed Sacrament in a monstrance and a statue of Our Lady of Fatima, to pray and offer blessings as they circled the perimeter of the Catholic Diocese of Camden by air.

If you felt your spirits lifting suddenly Wednesday, it could have been that Father Anthony was putting in a good word for you. Thanks, Father!
