2016 marks Rutgers University's 250th anniversary. It also marks the first time a sitting president will visit to deliver the school's commencement address.

That's right, the President is coming back to Jersey!

According to a news release from the school, President Barack Obama will head to High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway on Sunday, May 15th.

More than 12,000 graduates are set to receive their degrees, with an additional 40,000 expected in attendance as guests.

Whether or not you agree with his politics, you have to admit that it's pretty cool to have the leader of the free world speak to a new class of graduates. That's certainly something they'll remember for a lifetime.

I don't even remember who spoke at mine, which likely says more about me than them. (I looked it up, it was Tom Curley, President and CEO of The Associated Press. Admittedly a solid speaker for Penn State College of Communications grads, but still, not nearly as memorable as the President of the United States!)

School officials reportedly requested the President for the 250th commencement address more than two years ago. Just last week, Rutgers announced that PBS political commentator Bill Moyers would be speaking at this year's ceremonies, as the school hadn't heard from the White House.

Congratulations to this year's graduating class!
