Police in Northfield have posted an alert on their Facebook page about a scam artist who poses as an appliance repair man.

After being arrested on theft, forgery and fraud charges, the man, whose name is not given in the alert,  uses the company names Southshore Appliance Repair in Ventnor and My Repairs in Atlantic City.

He is now free on his own recognizance.

Northfield Police want you to be aware of this man's shady business deals and to avoid using either of these companies.  If you have had dealing with these companies already, you should contact Northfield Police.

Here is the alert from Northfield Police....

"The Northfield Police Department would like to warn the public about a scam artist who poses as an appliance repair professional. The subject uses two business names, Southshore Appliance Repair in Ventnor and My Repairs in Atlantic City. The subject has taken advantage of victims in the area. He promises repairs, exchanges and warranties on kitchen appliances, however doesn’t practice good business ethics.
The subject was recently taken into custody by our agency and others for Theft, Fraud and Forgery. Since his arrest he has been released on his own recognizance. Avoid conducting business with him and any associates using the business names Southshore Appliance Repair and My Repairs New Jersey."
