The struggles of the retail industry continue into the new year. More than 1,700 stores will be shutting their doors in 2020 according to Business Insider.

Earlier this month, Pier 1 Imports announced the closing of over 400 stores nationwide. That number has now grown to 450 and now includes four stores in the Garden State.

NJ.com reports that the four stores closing for good in New Jersey are East Hanover, Edgewater, Parumus and Cape May Court House which is located on Court House South Dennis Road. The closing date for the stores could come by the end of February 2020.

Pier 1 has 21 stores in the Garden State including Somers Point, Manahawkin, Millville, Deptford and Mount Laurel.
