Police in Philadelphia are searching for the person responsible for fire a gun at the popular Pat's Steaks in South Philly over the weekend.

The suspect in question reportedly shot off several rounds of bullets into the air at the cheesesteak shop on South 9th St. at 5:45 a.m. on Sunday, December 27, 6abc.com reports.

Surveillance footage from the scene outside Pat's Steaks shows the male shooter may have been quarreling with someone just before he pulled out a gun and pull the trigger. The bag was reportedly pulled out of the handbag of the man's female companion, according to 6abc.com. Bystanders reportedly intervened.

The couple reportedly left the scene in an SUV.

The man with the gun was wearing a dark colored hoodie sweatshirt, dark colored hat, and blue jeans. The woman was wearing a denim jacket, white T-shirt, and jeans, with her hair pulled back.

Philadelphia Police (3rd District) are hoping the public or anyone who may have witnessed the shooting can help them identify the suspect and the woman involved. Tips can be called into the South Detective Division at 215-686-3243 or 215-686-3244.
