Congratualtions to the 5th grade students from the Joyanne Miller School in Egg Harbor Township who helped design a hole for a minature golf course on the Ocean City Boardwalk.The winning team that helped design the hole for Goofy Golf included students Thomas Deng, 10, Patrick Lam, 11, Nashid Ellis, 12, and Gus Buzby, 10.

The cermonies for the new hole took place on Tuesday with the almost 100 fifth-graders from the school getting the first chance at playing. The wining design including a giant lion and characters featured in the Disney movie "Despicable Me."

Students were challanged to come up with a math and enginerring concepts that would help create a design which would be featured as one of the holes.

Winning team memebrs get lifetime passes to play for free. The owner of the golf course wants to make the redesign an annual event for the school.
